04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 can (8 oz/230g) tomato sauce

02 - Add diced bell pepper, onion, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until vegetables are tender, approximately 3-4 minutes.
03 - Stir in tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
04 - Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer the mixture for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened and flavors are well combined.
05 - Lightly toast the hamburger buns until golden brown.
06 - Spoon the Cajun chicken mixture generously onto the bottom halves of the toasted buns.
07 - Add optional toppings as desired, close with the top buns, and serve immediately while hot.

# Notes:

01 - For a spicier version, add 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper to the mixture.
02 - The filling can be made ahead of time and reheated when ready to serve.
