Scrambled Egg Grilled Cheese (Printable Version)

Fluffy scrambled eggs with Cheddar-Jack and mozzarella cheese melted between buttery toasted bread for the ultimate comfort food.

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 large egg
02 - 2 tablespoons milk
03 - ½ teaspoon salt
04 - ½ teaspoon onion powder
05 - ½ teaspoon garlic-pepper seasoning
06 - ⅓ cup Cheddar-Jack cheese, shredded
07 - ⅓ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
08 - 2 teaspoons butter, softened
09 - 2 slices bread
10 - Cooking spray

# Steps:

01 - In a bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, salt, onion powder, and garlic-pepper seasoning until well combined and pale yellow. Stir in the Cheddar-Jack cheese until thick.
02 - Spray a skillet with cooking spray and place it over medium-low heat. Pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Cook and stir until the eggs are set, about 5 minutes. Transfer to a plate.
03 - Lightly butter one side of each bread slice.
04 - Spray the skillet with cooking spray again. Place one slice of bread, buttered-side down, in the pan. Top with half of the mozzarella cheese, the egg mixture, the remaining mozzarella, and the remaining bread, buttered-side up. Cook until the bread is toasted and browned, for about 1 to 2 minutes. Flip and cook until the other side is browned, and the cheese is melted, another 1 to 2 minutes.
05 - Transfer to a plate and let it cool for a minute before serving.
