Lemon Brownies (Printable Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Brownie Base

01 - 1 cup all-purpose flour
02 - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
03 - 1/4 tsp salt
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
05 - 2 large eggs
06 - 2 tbsp lemon zest
07 - 2 tbsp lemon juice
08 - 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

→ Lemon Glaze

09 - 1/2 cup powdered sugar
10 - 1 tbsp lemon juice
11 - 1 tsp lemon zest

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
02 - In a large bowl, beat together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
03 - Add eggs one at a time, then mix in lemon juice, zest, and vanilla extract.
04 - Stir in flour and salt until just combined.
05 - Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
06 - Bake for 22–25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
07 - Let cool completely in the pan before adding glaze.
08 - For the glaze, mix powdered sugar, lemon juice, and zest until smooth.
09 - Spread glaze evenly over cooled brownies and chill for 15 minutes before slicing.
