01 -
In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving a cup of pasta water.
02 -
In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Add the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
03 -
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade, allowing excess sauce to drip off. Season with salt and pepper. Sear the steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness. Remove from skillet and let rest.
04 -
In the same skillet, add the remaining marinade and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened.
05 -
Slice the rested steak into thin strips. Add the cooked linguine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to combine. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if needed.
06 -
Plate the pasta, top with sliced steak, and garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
